Pudendal anaesthesia is a form of local anethesia commonly used in the practice of obstetrics. (the pudendal nerve block) is used in obstetrics. The anethesia is produced by blocking the pudendal nerves near the ischial spine of the ischium. The ischial spine separates the greater and lesser sciatic foramina.
